Rubén Fernández Manzanas
Violinist Rubén Fernández Manzanas completed his studies at Musikene under the guidance of Aitzol Iturriagagoitia and is currently continuing his training at Codarts Rotterdam with Hed Yaron Meyerson and Frederieke Saeijs. He has also worked with distinguished teachers including A. Baget, A. García, J. Torre, O. Beltrán, C. Sierra, M. Colom, F. Wezel, D. Mahktin, J. Tejedor, C. Bucataru, M. H. Coleman, and S. Nova.
Rubén has been recognized at several competitions, receiving the Audience Prize at the Prix d’Harmonie in Rotterdam (2025), an Honorable Mention for Best Technique at the International Competition for Young Performers Música Callada in Ávila, and Third Prize at the Intercentros Melómanos Competition in Castilla y León.
He has performed with various ensembles, serving as concertmaster of the Contemporary Music Ensemble of Segovia and playing with the Symphony Orchestra of Ávila. Currently, he is an academist with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, a member of the Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE), and collaborates occasionally with the Spanish National Orchestra.
