Benjamin Wenzelberg
Benjamin Perry Wenzelberg is a multifaceted talent who, in the Mozartian tradition, combines the roles of conductor, composer, countertenor, and pianist. Following studies at Harvard and Juilliard, he completed the National Master in Orchestral Conducting in the Netherlands in 2024, after which he was appointed Artistic Partner of the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century. Having won the Leonard Bernstein Memorial Conducting Competition at the age of eighteen, he has since participated in masterclasses with luminaries such as Lorenzo Viotti and Jaap van Zweden. He has also achieved significant success as a composer. His opera Nighttown was awarded The American Prize, underscoring his status as one of the most promising young musicians of his generation as he makes his debut at the Concertgebouw.
