Christophe Mourguiart

Born in Paris, Christophe Mourguiart began studying the violin at the age of seven at the Orléans Conservatory. At fourteen, he entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where he graduated with First Prizes in violin and chamber music. He continued his studies with Jean-Pierre Wallez at the Geneva Conservatory of Music, earning a First Prize for virtuosity. He also received invaluable guidance from Philippe Hirschhorn, Victor Tretyakov, and Miriam Solovieff (a disciple of Louis Persinger and Carl Flesch). He was awarded the Grand Prix Maurice Ravel in Saint-Jean-de-Luz and was a laureate of the Rodolfo Lipizer International Competition in Italy, where he also received the Audience Award. Since 2022, Christophe Mourguiart has served as Associate Concertmaster of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra.
