Maite Mancisidor Vergara

“As an Academist with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, I look forward to discovering what it truly means to be part of a professional orchestra and to grow through this unique experience.”

Violinist Maite Mancisidor Vergara, born in Irún, Spain, began her musical education at the Irun Conservatory with Raffaella Acella. She continued her studies at Musikene in San Sebastián, where she completed her bachelor’s degree under the mentorship of Catalin Bucataru.

Maite has gained experience performing with youth ensembles such as JOSS, JOL, EGO, Neue Philharmonie München, JONDE, and the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO). She has also collaborated with professional orchestras including the Basque Country Orchestra (OSE), Les Arts, and the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra.

Her career has brought her to major international festivals such as the Edinburgh International Festival, Bolzano Festival Bozen, Grafenegg Festival, Young Euro Classic, WOW Festival (New York), Quincena Musical (San Sebastián), and the George Enescu Festival (Bucharest). These opportunities have allowed her not only to perform on prestigious stages but also to connect with musicians from all over the world.

Open, curious, and passionate about music, Maite embraces every chance to keep learning and to share her artistry with new audiences.
