Daniel Quiles Cascant

Daniel Quiles Cascant studied at the conservatories of Rotterdam and Amsterdam with Pierre Volders, Jörgen van Rijen, Remko de Jager, and Ben van Dijk. As a soloist, Daniel Quiles Cascant won prizes at the National Competition for Young Musicians in Xativa and the Ruperto Chapi competition in Villena in Alicante. Prizes he received for chamber music include the Emory Remington Trombone Choir Competition and the Trombone Quartet Competition of the International Trombone Association. He gained orchestral experience at the Gustav Mahler Academy, the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, the Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, the Noord Nederland Orkest and the philharmonie zuidnederland. Daniel is a regular guest with leading orchestras such as the WDR Sinfonieorchester and the Spanish National Orchestra. Since 2018, Daniel Quiles Cascant has been trombonist with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, and since 2022 he has been teaching at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague.
