Jade Mintjens

Jade Mintjens (24) graduated in 2016 from the Lemmens Institute's Arts Humanities Department (Department of Word Art-Drama) with an individual and communal theatre performance and a paper entitled: "How do contemporary, Flemish stand-up comedians define the themes of their indoor shows?". She complemented her studies with all kinds of artistic projects. In the 2014/2015 theatre season, for instance, she was on stage with 'De Metsiers', a theatre play by fABULEUS based on Hugo Claus' book of the same name, and played the role of Eva in the Studio100 series 'GhostRockers'.

In 2017, she featured for ten weeks in 'For the Lions' on Eén, where she took to the stage as a stand-up comedian herself for the first time. Jade was one of Michael Van Peel's 'Young Ones' (2019) and has already been a support act for Bart Cannaerts (2019) and Xander de Rycke (2020), with whom she performed at Rock Werchter's summer bar, among others. In 2019, Jade was the first female finalist of the Lunatic Comedy Award and in 2021, she was also a finalist of the Humo's Comedy Cup.

Since November 2021, Jade has been a regular sidekick and editorial board member on 'De ideale wereld' (Canvas).

In late 2022 - early 2023, Jade went on tour with her end-of-year 'Samen door 2022'. From 2024, she will hit the theatres again with her first full-length comedy show 'Bedankt om te komen'.
