The Antwerp Symphony Orchestra welcomes top international soloists and is happy to give them a platform to share their knowledge with young talents. Such masterclasses are not only valuable learning moments for the students themselves, but also particularly enriching experiences for the audience, who are given an exclusive insight into the development process of an artist.

Canadian pianist Bruce Liu gained international recognition after winning first prize at the 2021 Chopin Competition in Warsaw, one of the most prestigious piano competitions in the world. He is praised for his technique, broad musical imagination and expressive playing, and regularly performs as a soloist with leading orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra and Vienna Symphony Orchestra. He will treat the Antwerp audience to two concerts in the 2026-2027 season: in March with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and conductor Jaap van Zweden, and in April with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra and Ryan Bancroft. Today, he shares his knowledge with young pianists in the Queen Elisabeth Hall.
