KID concert: Orfi and Jeurie

Music is so powerful that it can even bring people back from the realm of the dead to the land of the living. It’s true. Just ask Orfi. This exceptionally talented young musician embarked on a hellish journey, past the taciturn and stubborn ferryman Charon and the three-headed fierce hound Cerberus, deep into the underworld. With only one purpose: to save his new bride Jeurie. His weapon of choice? His trusted lyre and his wonderful voice, which was so beautiful that even the animals, the trees and the rocks moved in tune to his music. Bert Verbeke and Jolijn Antonissen narrate this lovely Greek myth about love and trust. The Antwerp Symphony and David Ramael lard the story with music that was inspired by the story of Orpheus and Euridice. (performance in Dutch)
