Since becoming Antwerp’s city poet, Esohe Weyden has captured the city’s vibrant essence through her evocative verse. She draws inspiration from the river Scheldt, the voices of local youth, and a nostalgic love for her home. This unique performance blends spoken word with music by Arvo Pärt, Judith Weir, and Julia Wolfe, performed by the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra. Join the poet, the orchestra, and the community in a grand celebration marking the 10th anniversary of the magnificent Queen Elisabeth Hall, the orchestra’s world-class home.
