Re-Mix Orchestra
Until 2024, the Re-Mix Orchestra was the youth orchestra of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, meeting twice a year to work on a playlist of improvised pieces spanning all genres. During musical workshops, young people aged 12 to 26 collaborated with members of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra on their own compositions, under the guidance of London-based all-round musician and coach Paul Griffiths. Doorheen de jaren werkte het Re-Mix Orchestra samen met heel wat verenigingen uit Antwerpen en spannende solisten, zoals Marieke Van Ransbeeck (doedelzak). Djembes and guitars, harmonicas and flutes, violins and althorns: this energetic group always gave it their all! This outreach project was completed in 2024.
