Elisabeth Week
In Belgium’s world of classical music, the name Queen Elisabeth links three important institutions. As orchestra in residence of the Queen Elisabeth Hall, we are delighted to work with the Chapel to present this Elisabeth week the focus of which is a winner from the Competition.
Edition 2027: Stella Chen
In 2027, we are delighted to welcome American violinist Stella Chen as our central guest. Chen achieved her international breakthrough in 2019 by winning the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition. Since then, she has appeared as a soloist with world-class orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Minnesota Orchestra, and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. As a chamber musician, she is also a regular guest at major festivals worldwide. Her 2023 debut album, Stella x Schubert, earned her the title of ‘Young Artist of the Year’ at the Gramophone Awards. Her performances have already taken her to iconic venues across the globe, from Carnegie Hall to the Musikverein in Vienna and the Berlin Philharmonie.
