Dante Cáceres

Dante Cáceres began his musical studies in his native Toledo (Spain) at the age of 9. He chose Brussels in order to enroll his performance bachelor’s degree under Shirly Laub at the Brussels Royal Conservatory. After successfully obtaining his bachelor’s diploma with “Grand Distinction” he enrolls into the master’s degree.

As a member of Youth Orchestra Flanders, he plays under the baton of Edwin Outwater and
Stéphane Denève, and collaborates with Lorenzo Gatto and Camille Thomas. He took part for several years in l'Orchestre du Festival Musiq'3, where he had the chance to share the stage with Amandine Beyer, Gilles Apap, Sylvia Huang, Hayoung Choi, etc.

During his musical studies, he had the opportunity of getting advice from violinists such as Lorenzo Gatto, David Grimal, Guillaume Sutre, and Arabella Steinbacher. In 2020 he won a place as an academist of the Belgian National Orchestra and La Monnaie Orchestra Academy for the 2020-2021 season. During this experience he collaborated with both orchestras, playing under the baton of Alain Altinoglu and Hugh Wolff.

He has ever since actively appeared with La Monnaie, BNO, Boho Strings, and Young Belgian Strings. Currently, he collaborates regularly with Brussels Philharmonic as first violin, where he had the opportunity to work with names such as Kazushi Ono, Dirk Brossé, Stéphane Denève, Vassily Sinaisky, Ilan Volkov, Boris Giltburg, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Renaud Capuçon, Christian Tetzlaff, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian...

In 2022 he received from Philippe Close's hands the violin special prize “Prix Georges Octors de la Ville de Bruxelles", recognizing his academic path during his studies.

In 2023 he won a place in the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra Academy for the season 2023-2024.
