Kerem Hasan

Kerem Hasan is regarded as one of the most exciting young British conductors. Winning the Nestlé and Salzburg Festival Young Conductors Award in the summer of 2017 laid the foundation for his flourishing international career. Before that, he had already gained attention as a finalist in the Donatella Flick Conducting Competition in London and as Associate Conductor of the Welsh National Opera. From September 2019 to June 2023, he served as Chief Conductor in Austria, leading the Tiroler Symphonieorchester Innsbruck to great success.

Born in London in 1992, Kerem Hasan studied piano and conducting at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He later deepened and perfected his training in conducting at the Zurich University of the Arts under the guidance of Johannes Schlaefli.
