Fatma Said

soprano

Soprano Fatma Said was born in Cairo and has followed a remarkable path from Egypt to the world's leading concert halls and opera houses. As the first Egyptian soprano to study at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan, she quickly garnered international attention with her radiant voice and compelling artistic charisma.

Today, she is regarded as one of the most distinctive sopranos of her generation, equally persuasive on the opera stage as in concert repertoire and as a passionate lyric translator. The opera star will shine on 26 September at the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra's annual Gala.
