Laurens Collegium is Rotterdam’s professional chamber choir, renowned under the direction of Wiecher Mandemaker for its versatile, high-calibre, and energetic performances. The choir plays a significant role in society by marking key national events through thematic projects and recordings, such as their acclaimed CD/DVD release of Die Schöpfung and nature-inspired concerts in collaboration with Natuurmonumenten. A frequent guest at major Dutch venues including de Doelen and the Concertgebouw, the ensemble regularly collaborates with leading orchestras such as the Rotterdam Philharmonic and the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century. Having performed under distinguished conductors like Frans Brüggen and Jaap van Zweden, and maintaining a close partnership with Laurens organist Hayo Boerema, Laurens Collegium remains an inspiring force within the Dutch musical landscape.
