Marija Krumes

Marija Krumes was born in Yugoslavia. She began playing the violin at the age of seven under her father’s guidance, before going on to further her violin studies at the University of Belgrade. She subsequently studied violin at the Antwerp Conservatoire with Dejan Mijajev and viola in Leo De Neve’s class. As a violist and violinist, she has performed with various orchestras and chamber music groups in Belgium and the Netherlands. She has also contributed to various TV and CD productions and, alongside her performances as a violinist and violist, is regularly involved in various educational activities. Since 2010, she has been a member of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra as a violist.
