The remarkable young Moldovan soprano Natalia Tanasii is a rising star on the international opera stage, frequently appearing at prestigious venues such as the Salzburg Festival, La Monnaie, and Teatro Real. A prize-winner at the Neue Stimmen competition, she has earned critical acclaim for her "remarkable timbre" and "pin-sharp intonation." Her repertoire includes celebrated performances as Tatiana in Eugene Onegin, Mimi in La bohème, and Micaëla in Carmen.

This season, Tanasii continues her ascent with a return to the Hamburg State Opera for Ruslan and Ludmila, alongside major debuts at the Teatro Real and Opéra de Monte-Carlo. In addition to her operatic work, she maintains an active concert schedule, recently collaborating with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Her career is further distinguished by a diverse range of roles performed during her residency at the Zurich International Opera Studio and her early years as a Jerwood Young Artist at Glyndebourne.
