Sergei Redkin

Born in 1991, Sergei Redkin is one of the great talents of his generation. In 2004, he moved to Saint Petersburg, where he began studying piano at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory. After completing his training at the specialised school for talented musicians, he transferred to Alexander Sandler's class in 2009. He also studied composition with Alexander Mnatsakanian, a pupil of Dmitri Shostakovich. Sergei Redkin made a name for himself internationally with prestigious prizes, culminating in Second Prize at the Queen Elisabeth Piano Competition in 2021. Since 2017, he has been artist in residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel under the direction of Louis Lortie. Sergei Redkin is also a welcome guest at chamber music concerts of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, and will play the leading role in the Elisabeth Week in 2025.
