Flemish author Siska Goeminne (1968) is renowned for her precise, poetic language and her ability to make complex emotions and philosophical themes accessible to readers of all ages. Since her debut in 2001, she has built a versatile body of work ranging from picture books and poetry to young adult fiction and her novella for adults, BOOT. Her award-winning work, which is translated worldwide, often focuses on family ties and the inner world of children. Her passion for visual art is reflected in close collaborations with acclaimed illustrators, leading to the retrospective exhibition ‘The Thousand Mes of Siska Goeminne’ in celebration of her twenty-year literary career.
