Tony Siqi Yun
The Canadian-born pianist Tony Siqi Yun will this season appear as a soloist with Orchestre Metropolitain (Glass Marcano), China National Symphony Orchestra (Yang Yan), Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra (Daniel Harding), and Louisville Symphony Orchestra (Robert Soprano). In recital, Yun will debut at Wigmore Hall, Willem Twee Toonzaal, Miry Concertzaal, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Flagey Festival Brussels, Koerner Hall for the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Celebrity Series of Boston, and will return to Colorado Music Festival and the Vancouver Recital Society.
Previous highlights include his subscription debut with The Philadelphia Orchestra (Yannick Nézet-Séguin), as well as a U.S. Tour with Orchestre Métropolitain (Nézet-Séguin), featuring an appearance at Carnegie Hall. He has also appeared at the Colorado Music Festival, the Aspen Music Festival, and the Vail Dance Festival. Additional highlights include performances with the New Jersey Symphony, the Cleveland Orchestra, Toronto Symphony, Colorado Springs Philharmonic, Nashville Symphony, Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Buffalo Philharmonic, Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, and the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra.
He regularly performs solo recitals in venues across Europe and North America, including at the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Tonhalle Düsseldorf, and Philharmonie Luxembourg, as well as Stanford Live, the Gilmore Rising Stars Series, and New York’s 92nd Street Y. He is a recipient of the Jerome L. Greene Fellowship at The Juilliard School. Tony graduated from Juilliard in 2024.
Tony was a Gold Medallist at the First China International Music Competition (2019) and was awarded the Rheingau Music Festival’s 2023 Lotto-Förderpreis.
