Friends' activity: Guided tour: Art in the Provincial Government Building - Music Hall

Come and explore the iconic Provincial Government Building in Antwerp, located on Harmoniepark. You will be given a guided tour of the building and an explanation by the curator of the exhibition “Music Hall: Art and Music in Dialogue, 1900-2000”.

Exhibition: Music Hall

At the beginning of the 20th century, the music hall was a vibrant place where artists found inspiration. Classical music, tango, theatre and early cinema came together here. This mix of high and low culture was the ideal breeding ground for innovative art. The exhibition shows how artists translated the lively world of the music hall into innovative images. In turn, they inspired later generations of artists.
