Chamber music: In the footsteps of Bach
The musicians of the Antwerp Symphony will perform an extremely diverse programme of late baroque music, which flourished at the court of Frederic the Great (the King of Prussia), during this unique chamber music concert. A generation of German composers, who followed in Bach’s footsteps and who are all too often ignored, made the transition to a more gallant style of music together, characterised by refined symmetry and contrasts. A music style that requires soloists to play from the heart and unleash their inner virtuoso. An elegant way to pass your Sunday afternoon in the beautiful setting of AMUZ.
