Start your Sunday right at the Antwerp Symphony with two classics from the Romantic period. Honorary conductor Philippe Herreweghe raises his baton to conduct Brahms’s sublime Symphony No. 3 – including the moving Poco allegretto – after Carl Maria von Weber’s stunning Clarinet Concerto No. 1. The Antwerp Symphony’s first clarinet Benjamin Dieltjens will play the solo in this piece, which is highly regarded in the instrument’s repertoire.
Programme
Weber Clarinet Concerto No.1 in F, opus 73
Brahms Symphony No. 3 in F, opus 90
