Urbański conducts The Rite of Spring

A piano virtuoso, composer, and successful author: Jeremy Denk is all that and more. He is like a modern-day Franz Liszt, a man of multiple talents who was the prototype of the romantic homo universalis. In his Wanderer-Fantasie, Liszt reworked Schubert’s eponymous piano suite into an exuberant orchestral work. And while we are on the subject of exuberant: in the twentieth century, Igor Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring caused quite a revolution in Parisian music circles.
