Andrew Staples
British tenor Andrew Staples began his musical path as a chorister at St Paul’s Cathedral and the Choir of King’s College, later studying at the Royal College of Music. He is a highly sought-after soloist for the works of Handel, Mozart, and Britten, while also earning acclaim for major masterpieces by Mahler and Verdi.
Staples performs at the highest international level, collaborating with conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle and Yannick Nézet-Séguin, and orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic and the London Symphony Orchestra.
In addition to his prolific concert career, he is a frequent guest at opera houses such as the Royal Opera House, the Metropolitan Opera, and the Vienna State Opera. His versatile stage presence has been showcased in roles by Strauss, Janáček, and Mozart at leading festivals like the Salzburg Festival. Staples extends his creativity beyond singing, working also as an opera director and a professional portrait photographer.
