Ben Goldscheider
Ben Goldscheider is a leading horn player who pushes the boundaries of his instrument with over 50 world premieres, ranging from solo works to projects involving live electronics. He performs as a soloist with top orchestras such as the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the London Philharmonic, and the Tokyo Philharmonic, under the baton of conductors like Ryan Bancroft and Sakari Oramo. In the 2025–26 season, he will once again be in the spotlight with new concertos by composers such as Anna Clyne and Laurence Osborn. His international career has taken him to the world's most prestigious venues, including the Concertgebouw, the Elbphilharmonie, and Wigmore Hall, while his acclaimed recordings combine tributes to legends like Dennis Brain with modern repertoire.
In addition to his solo career, Ben is a passionate chamber musician who collaborates with greats such as Daniel Barenboim and Martha Argerich at festivals in Verbier and Salzburg. He holds key positions as Principal Horn of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra and is a member of the Boulez Ensemble and the Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective. Following his studies at the Barenboim-Said Academy in Berlin, he now shares his expertise as a professor at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp. Since his breakthrough as a finalist in the 2016 BBC Young Musician competition and his nomination as an ECHO Rising Star, he has established himself as a versatile authority within the classical music world.
