Laureate concert Queen Elisabeth Competition
Intense concentration, excruciating mistakes and a nail-biting finish – every year, the Queen Elisabeth Competition racks up the tension for performers and audiences alike. The 2019 edition for violin is likely to be no exception. Where will this year’s prizes go? Who will follow in the footsteps of Oistrakh, Kogan, Repin, Znaider, Khachatryan, Baranov and Lim Ji-Young? Three laureates will be joining the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Martyn Brabbins on a tour of Flanders. A wonderful opportunity to see these violinists without competition stress and at the height of their game.
