Orchestre de Paris
After winning prizes at several prestigious international competitions in recent years, the Russian pianist Igor Levit suddenly found himself thrust into the spotlight. He has since made his debut with the New York Philharmonic and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. His youthful, spontaneous appeal is an added bonus, making him the perfect interpreter for Gershwin’s jazzy Piano Concerto. The unsurpassed Orchestre de Paris has chosen to flank this masterpiece with two other swinging classics from the orchestra repertoire. The programme is bound to be a wonderful experience thanks to the revelatory interpretations of Austrian conductor Manfred Honeck. In 2018, he was named ‘Artist of the Year’ at the International Classical Music Awards. But there’s only one way to find out whether these superb musicians are truly a match made in heaven: come join us at the concert!
