Why Eisenstein and Prokofiev had to prematurely cut short their phenomenal film trilogy about Ivan the Terrible? You will find out in this new concert performance of Prokofiev's majestic score. With great empathy, actors Jan Decleir and Stefaan Degand bring a contemporary re-reading of this moving story. Together with large symphonic orchestra, vocal soloists and choir conducted by Martyn Brabbins, they unfold a universal narrative of great emotions and historical events that have impacted the lives of millions.
