With great empathy, actors Jan Decleir and Stefaan Degand bring a contemporary re-reading of this moving story. Together with large symphonic orchestra, vocal soloists and choir conducted by Martyn Brabbins, they unfold a universal narrative of great emotions and historical events that have impacted the lives of millions. Viewed through eyes and listened to by ears of today, this new version of Ivan the Terrible also tells something about the world today.
