The Fifth Symphony, together with the First, is one of the most beloved symphonies by Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev. It premiered at the end of the Second World War and showcases a combative, optimistic conductor. Time Magazine wrote: “This is the best musical event in many years. It is the greatest symphony since Brahms and Tchaikovsky! It is magnificent! It is yesterday, today and tomorrow.” The concert opens with a true voice of the new generation: Finnish violinist Lilja Haatainen is just 15 years old and has been performing with the greatest orchestras for several years. Today you can hear her brilliant tones in Saint-Saëns' Introduction et rondo capriccioso.

This breakfast concert promises you a powerful start to the day, complemented by coffee, tea and a pastry.
