She is only 27, but pianist Beatrice Rana already plays in the highest league of classical music with highly acclaimed CDs and phenomenal concerts at the Berliner Philharmonie, the Musikverein in Vienna, The Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Carnegie Hall in New York. To see and hear her at work in Rachmanino ̄’s grand Piano Concerto No. 2 will be nothing less than unforgettable. Another performance to look forward to is the latest composition by Belgian composer Bram Van Camp, who includes Stravinsky as one of his major influences. And finally, Elim Chan lets the magical struggle between the good Firebird and the evil magician Koschei explode to the tones of Stravinsky’s incomparable ballet music.
