Diego Liberati

Diego Liberati studied cello at the Hochschule der Künste in Bern and then perfected his skills with Louise Hopkins. In his native country (Italy) he played in several orchestras, including Solisti Aquilani, the Orchestra Città Aperta, the Orchestra del Teatro Marrucino, the Orchestra da Camera Benedetto Marcello and the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese. In the past, he was leader of the cello group in the Portuguese Orquestra do Norte. Besides making music, he devotes himself to teaching and he gives classes and workshops at the Campus Musica Festival and the International Campus Musica of Polignano. Since 2010, he has been a permanent member of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra.
