Filipe Costa Raposo

Filipe Raposo (Portugal, 1997) earned his Bachelor's Degree at the National Academy of Advanced
Orchestral Studies, in Lisbon, with Aníbal Lima. In 2020, he finished his Master's Degree in Violin
Performance at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen. His mentors were Tatiana Samouil,
Alexei Moshkov, Benjamin Braude and Alissa Margulis.


Mihaela Martin, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, Yossif Ivanov, Jack Liebeck and Jean-Jacques
Kantorow were some of the violinists he had the privilege to play for. He followed chamber
music lessons under Paul Wakabayashi, Artur Pizarro and Guy Danel, having masterclasses with Isabel
Charisius, Josef Kluson and Razvan Popovici.


International laureate (USA, France, Italy, Poland and Portugal), Filipe frequently takes part in
solo and chamber music performances in Portugal, Belgium and The Netherlands. He was
appointed Academist of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra for the season 2019-2020, as well as
Fellow of Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian and Fundação Medeiros e Almeida.


Filipe has been a member of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra (Violin I Tutti) since January 2022.
He also collaborates with the Brussels Philharmonic, Belgian National Orchestra and Orquestra XXI.
Filipe plays on a French violin by Roland Belleguic (2021), an instrument generously on loan
from Strings For Talent and the King Baudouin Foundation.
