Sheku Kanneh-Mason

Sheku Kanneh-Mason is an internationally renowned British cellist known for his expressive playing and his mission to make music accessible to everyone, from schoolchildren to audiences in leading concert halls. He won the BBC Young Musician competition in 2016 and performs with top-tier orchestras on prestigious stages worldwide. Kanneh-Mason has already released several successful albums.
In the 2026-2027 season, he will make two appearances at the Queen Elisabeth Hall: in November with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and in December with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Sheku was appointed an MBE and plays a 1700 Matteo Goffriller cello.
